Röder at BAUMA 2019

RÖDER AT BAUMA 2019 IN MUNICH

At the largest trade fair in the world, RÖDER booth developed solutions for 13 well-known companies in the construction industry with exciting details. The customers relied on modular room concepts that enabled a smooth visitor flow from their more than 200,000 customers, prospective customers and employees on a total area of 21,700 m². In use were 20 temporary buildings of the RÖDER SOLUTION series CLASSIC and PLUS, some of them two-storey. Thanks to the exceptional constructions and facade claddings with an individually printed attic or ALEA cladding, the exhibition stands represented impressive highlights of the fair. Integrated galleries, large balconies and inviting terraces offered visitors optimal views.

As early as 1954, the "Spring Show for Construction Machinery" was an enthusiastic event on 20,000 square metres of exhibition space. In 2019, 600,000 visitors were expected across 614,000 square feet. While in the public perception the seven-day trade fair represents a special exceptional situation for the city, the trade fair company and the exhibitors, the set-up phase is the real challenge for many companies working behind the scenes.

The RÖDER Germany assembly team has been on a daily basis since January 2019 to coordinate and assemble the material flow from Hesse to Bavaria and to give customers the certainty of attracting attention with representative trade fair stands right on time for the start of the fair. „Far before the assembly time”, says Herbert Klose, CSO of the RÖDER Group, „the really important phase takes place”. For example, he points to the “one-stop program”, which RÖDER consistently implements in its processes and has thus progressed from product provider to solution provider in recent years. „Our customers appreciate our solution-oriented approach”. An own project team is much closer to the customer and their wishes than to their own product.

The best moment for our team is the key handover.
After that, it is necessary to breathe for seven days before the dismantling has to be completed after the project.

The first glance at the exhibition stands is not reminiscent of a lightweight hall. Different combinations of constructions from the RÖDER SOLUTION series make the boundary between the hall and representative cubic spaces disappear. CSO Herbert Klose points to the aesthetic application of „Alea 2. 0” – a freely modelable printed facade element that is mounted directly on the object without any substructure. „With Alea 2. 0, our company has succeeded in developing a product that combines design, feasibility and cost-effectiveness”.
But not only beautiful things, but also useful things happen behind the scenes when planning a trade fair stand. RÖDER also acts as coordinator and, in consultation with the architects and trade fair builders, plans the entire logistics one year before the start of the trade fair, taking into account the already very low-clocked slots for loading and unloading. „From the design planning, to the introduction of new ideas for the realization of differentiating exhibition stands to the static, official and fire protection approval procedures, our project team ensures that the customer has as few different contact points as possible”, says Klose.
