Sustainability in the tent and hall industry
Our environmental commitment at RÖDER: A look at our comprehensive sustainability measures
As a leading manufacturer of tents and halls, we at RÖDER have not only distinguished ourselves through innovative products and expert service, but also through our strong commitment to environmental protection. For six years, we have been validated according to EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme), a system that goes far beyond the requirements of DIN EN ISO 14001:2015.
In the following, we would like to shed light on the various facets of our commitment and show how we at RÖDER make a positive contribution to the environment.
EMAS certification: our milestone in sustainable environmental management
EMAS certification is an important milestone for us. Not only does it require compliance with high ecological standards, but it also integrates economic and social elements. Every year, we prepare an environmental statement that we publish on our company website. This statement includes an evaluation of all relevant environmental aspects, environmentally related changes and an analysis of our environmental performance based on various core indicators. We use this to develop our environmental programme and set targets for the coming years.
Energy efficiency and emissions reduction: Our strategy for a green future
A central aspect of our environmental strategy is improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions. By switching to LED lighting, we have achieved a significant increase in electricity energy efficiency.
We also promote sustainable mobility by providing hybrid company cars and our own wall boxes for electric cars at our production site. We have made our internal logistics processes more environmentally friendly by using electric forklifts.
Sustainable construction for more environmental protection
Structural changes at our sites in Büdingen-Wolferborn also contribute to the conservation of resources. We consistently take environmental aspects into account when making investments. We also pay attention to environmentally friendly measures when developing and constructing our tent designs, such as better insulation to reduce heating energy loss and the use of recyclable materials.
Resource conservation and recycling: our contribution to a circular economy
We pursue a consistent waste management concept that ensures the separation of all waste according to type. This enables us to achieve a high recycling rate. The materials we use are almost completely recyclable. When purchasing packaging materials, consumables, and auxiliary and operating materials, we give preference to recycled and environmentally friendly products.
Digitalisation for more sustainability in everyday office life
Another step towards sustainability is the continuous digitalisation of our business processes. With the introduction of a new ERP system five years ago, we have made significant progress towards a paperless office. We have identified further potential savings and will implement them in the near future to further minimise our paper consumption.
Conserving natural resources: our commitment to water conservation
The conservation of natural resources is another important contribution to our sustainability. At our production site, we operate our own well that supplies the entire site with process water. This significantly reduces our water consumption from public sources and conserves valuable resources.
Future-oriented environmental goals: Our vision for sustainable development
We have set ourselves clear environmental goals that go beyond compliance with current standards. These include the continuous reduction of the environmental impact of our business activities. We consider the entire value chain, including both upstream and downstream processes. This also includes working with our customers and suppliers to minimise our environmental impact together.
Involving our employees: sustainability as a corporate culture
An essential element of our environmental commitment is the active participation of all employees. Through various training measures, we raise our employees' awareness and motivate them to actively participate in improvement measures or to contribute their own ideas for improving environmental performance. This bottom-up strategy ensures broad acceptance and a deeply rooted culture of environmental awareness in our company.
Sustainable product development and innovation: our path to a green future
Sustainable product development and innovation are at the heart of our corporate culture. We strive to make a positive contribution to environmental protection through advanced technologies and innovative solutions. This is particularly evident in the development of our modular lightweight halls and industrial tents, which are not only flexible and versatile, but also impress with their sustainability.
Energy efficiency in our products: sustainable solutions for our customers
Our lightweight buildings are characterised by a high level of energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. For example, we use insulated roof covers and ISO panels that provide optimal insulation and minimise energy consumption. Our structures are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, ensuring their longevity and reusability. This reduces the consumption of resources and minimises environmental pollution in the broader sense.
Recyclable materials: our contribution to waste reduction
Another example of our sustainable product development is the integration of recyclable materials. In the production of our tent tarpaulins and hall systems, we attach great importance to the fact that the materials used are almost 100% recyclable. This way, we contribute significantly to the reduction of waste and promote the circular economy approach in the industry.
Digital transformation: our path to a paperless office
Our innovative strength is also evident in the digitalisation of our business processes. With the implementation of a new ERP system, we have taken a decisive step towards a paperless office. We are continuously optimising this process to identify and implement further savings potential.
Quality assurance through independent testing: Our commitment to sustainability
We work closely with renowned testing and certification organisations to ensure that our products meet the highest quality and environmental standards. Not only are we certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, but we are also certified according to the EMAS system, which distinguishes us as a particularly environmentally conscious company.
We ensure that sustainability remains at the forefront of our minds by adopting sustainable development approaches and continuously improving our products and processes. Our goal is to be a leader in promoting sustainable solutions in the tent and marquee industry.
Conclusion: Our holistic approach to sustainability and environmental protection
Our commitment to sustainability at RÖDER is comprehensive and firmly rooted in our corporate strategy. From product development and certifications to innovative solutions, we show how a company can act responsibly and sustainably. Through continuous improvement and innovative approaches, we are setting a strong example for sustainability in the tent and hall industry and remain a reliable partner for our customers worldwide.
