temporary sales areas

From temporary storage solutions to impressive event halls, RÖDER provides innovative and sustainable solutions for companies like Mann Mobilia that have specific requirements for sales areas. Particularly in the furniture retail sector, the lightweight halls have proven to be the perfect solution for responding flexibly and cost-effectively to changing needs.

Project overview

Mann Mobilia, a subsidiary of XXXLutz, organised exclusive sales promotions for garden furniture in Wiesbaden, Karlsruhe and Eschborn. For this, RÖDER erected three large tents, which provided an additional 1,800 m² of sales area. The projects included:

  • Locations: Wiesbaden, Karlsruhe and Eschborn
  • Dimensions of large tents: 20 m span, 30 m length (3 halls)
  • Area: 1,800 m²
  • Use: Attractive presentation of high-quality garden furniture

Industry solution

The furniture industry is one of the most competitive industries in Germany and faces numerous challenges, including changing customer needs, seasonal sales peaks and the growing pressure to react quickly to market changes.

The furniture store was faced with the task of reacting flexibly to seasonal trends and short-term demands. For the upcoming gardening season, a short-term and quickly realisable project was initiated to offer exclusive garden furniture in a customer-focused way in a large space. This meant that aesthetic and functional sales areas had to be created in the shortest possible time, which would fit seamlessly into the existing locations.

Sales areas made of lightweight construction halls offer unbeatable advantages here, which convinced the customer:

  • Fast implementation: Short assembly and dismantling times enable (almost) spontaneous sales promotions.
  • Individual adaptation: Modularly expandable systems adapt optimally to different requirements.
  • Cost efficiency: Compared to permanent buildings, lightweight construction halls are an economical alternative.
  • Sustainability: reusable structures and reduced resource utilisation.

RÖDER lightweight buildings offer an ideal solution here. They combine aesthetic design with flexible functionality, enabling them to meet the increasing demands of the market.

EXCURSUS: How long does it take to build a lightweight building?

The exact construction time for a lightweight hall such as a large tent or an industrial hall depends on various factors, including site preparation, ground conditions, size and other specific requirements.

Usually, it takes about 3 to 5 days to construct a lightweight hall measuring 20 m x 30 m, ready for immediate occupancy. This period includes the construction of the structure, the attachment of side walls/facade (e.g. trapezoidal sheet metal), PVC roof sheeting and, if necessary, the installation of interior lighting. If further technical equipment, sanitary facilities, offices, certain floor systems are desired, this extends the time to turnkey delivery.

We plan and coordinate these processes carefully to ensure fast and efficient completion, so that the halls are ready for the planned use on time.

Results and successes

The collaboration with RÖDER enabled Mann Mobilia to create an attractive extension to its sales area. The large tents impressed with:

  • highest quality: stable construction
  • Perfect functionality: optimal use of space and pleasant indoor climate.
  • Customer satisfaction: increased sales and positive customer feedback.
